Why I Started FOVA

Hi, I’m Kasson! I was born in the U.S., but my roots are in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. One day, I wore a shirt made with African fabric to school. Some friends stared, and a few asked strange questions. That’s when I realized they didn’t know how beautiful African culture really is. So, I decided to show them.

With my family, I choose bold African prints, full of history, color, and meaning, and work with local tailors to turn them into t-shirts and sweaters. FOVA stands for “Feel the Culture,” but it’s more than that. It’s about sparking conversations, opening minds, and wearing something that tells the world where you stand.

Quality

How we make every product matter

Every FOVA shirt is made with bold African prints and finished by skilled artisans back home in Côte d’Ivoire. We do not use big factories. Instead, we partner with local tailors, mostly men, who use their craft to build better lives for their families. That matters to me because, in some places, sewing is seen only as “women’s work,” but talent has no gender.

My lead tailor, Yves, started sewing when he was 12, just like me. Today, he helps me create clothes that cross oceans. That makes me proud, and I believe it makes him proud too.

Order Support

What your order supports

When you buy a FOVA shirt, you’re doing more than wearing a vibe:

01

You help create income for tailors in Côte d’Ivoire

02

You support families and help kids stay in school

03

You show that culture and creativity can unite us

We’re not just selling clothes.
We’re building bridges between countries, people, and stories.

Thanks for being part of something I’m building with heart, one product at a time.

FAQ

Let's talk & Ask Anything

All FOVA pieces are made by local tailors in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, not big factories. Every purchase helps support real families and skilled artists back home.

Since our products are made outside the U.S., the sizing may feel a little different. I’m still learning and improving things, but if the fit isn’t right, we’re always happy to exchange it!

Right now, we ship across the U.S. and are working on opening international shipping soon! Stay tuned, we’ll announce it as soon as it’s available.

Hi, it’s me, Kasson! I’m 12 years old, and I started FOVA to celebrate and share African culture through clothing. Everything you see is designed or chosen by me and my family.

Absolutely! Just head to our Contact Us page or email us at hello@fova.com. Whether you want to ask something, collab, or just say hi, we’d love to hear from you.

FOVA stands for Feel the Culture. But to me, it’s about more than clothes; it’s about connecting people, telling stories, and wearing your roots proudly.
